THE PERSON OF THE YEAR 2008 For 2008, the prestigious publication "Times" has decided the person of the year 2008 is--this is not a joke--none other but Mr. Barack Hussein Obama himself! We are certain the "accident" happened in the morning, between two sips of coffee--such an astounding proof of "hard work" at Times! It is clear that Times works only within the category "Internet & Presidents" driven, most likely, by some unexpressed though important forms of material gains. Well, kissing the ... let's say, "hands" appears to be the second nature of the "reporters" at Times, therefore we wish to them: "Kiss long, and prosper!" At
Corollary Theorems we see things differently. Despite the fact Mr. Barack Hussein
Obama appears to be well intentioned, he has about four difficult years
ahead to
make reality his electoral promises. Fact is, it is not enough to promise,
and willing to do good is far from sufficient: we need to see some tough,
intelligent action first. Only when his mandate is ended we will assess if
he did a good job or not; until then, Mr. Barack Hussein
Obama is on our watch list.Anyway, Corollary Theorems has decided the person of the year 2008 is Lady INGRID BETANCOURT. [Please excuse us if you feel that we have neglected other people, more worthy, that have suffered, possibly, even more in 2008. This nomination is just symbolical.] Words are useless to describe the torture this wonderful, innocent Lady has suffered during the 6 years of incarceration in the hands of the FARC [Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia] rebels. Her story is everywhere on the Internet, and we do encourage everybody to read it. Recently, Lady Ingrid Betancourt offered an interview at BBC, and we watched her fascinated by her EXTRAORDINARY HUMAN CHARACTER. We felt that Lady Betancourt was OUR SISTER, OUR MOTHER, and OUR LADY. Particularly important to us were her last words, the answer to the question, what she learned during the 6 years of torture. She said, "I realized I was just a fragile woman." These words express perfectly well our horrible "democrat" reality. Crimes, abuses, lies, torture, theft, piracy, corruption, and greed rule our world today, democratically. Unfortunately, the truly sad reality is that most "people" (this is both men and women) feel very good about "the way things are now, today". Even worse, few vulgar inhuman individuals name themselves "men", "leaders", or "managers", and then they shake their pockets filled with gold to prove that. The result of their glorious leadership, however, is our life today. Being A MAN, dear readers, means protecting ladies, children, and the elderly, first of all; secondly, if you do have the opportunity, try to make this planet a safer place to live. |
