Corollary Theorems: we cannot see Global Picture because of the details

WEEK 43, 2008

Sunday October 19, 2008
[THERE ARE ONLY 74 DAYS LEFT!]

The global efforts to solve the "Bank Crisis" this past week were impressive! The only troublesome aspect is, aside from being that impressive, all those "coordinated", "global efforts" are ... useless.

It is almost almost 5 (five) years since MERCY was first issued by Corollary Theorems. MERCY is a nice SF book--an "entertaining" one. It was "designed" that way on purpose from the very beginning. You see, it is difficult (in fact, it is impossible) to spread philosophy among very young readers; therefore, you have to sweeten "the philosophy pill" with little good SF chocolate coating.

The point to note is, MERCY presents--among very many other interesting "things"--the social
by-product named the "Democratic Mechanism of Selection". At first, the Democratic Mechanism of Selection was just a theory issued in a nice SF book; today, however, the actual "Bank Crisis" proves this social theory is our very reality.

According to the Democratic Mechanism of Selection, the actual Bank Crisis is only the tip of the iceberg; there are countless other social crises ripening behind the cover of our today's reality, just waiting to become acute.

THE DEMOCRATIC MECHANISM OF SELECTION AT WORK

When they reach a certain level of intelligence (which is quite low) some people start believing that the social-money can solve everything. For example, people love "beautiful things". Now, because some people do have plenty of money, it is logic they "invest" in great projects of the type "the most beautiful things in the world". There is nothing wrong with striving to create the abstract beauty only ... you do need to understand it first.

There are great "beautiful" projects in work today; for example, the tallest building in the world (this is in Dubai somewhere) is intended to be a wonderful hotel of some sort, where people are going to discover the "paradise on Earth". There are plenty of money available to make that project work but, unfortunately, there is something missing there: little logic. That great, impressive project is going to prove ... "far from anything", almost from the very first days. That little toy--same as most of the "beautiful" projects today--is intended to be the "joy of the very rich", only the very rich guys are stunningly low quality people.

Our problems are not technological--we can do technical wonders with money; the problems are in UNDERSTANDING OUR REALITY. Since the world has become just one small village (roughly in the 70's) our society is pushed, day after day, from one social crisis into the other. Sure, we also enjoyed few socially-exciting moments (say, the fall of Communism in 1990) only that was not our doing.

In the year 2008 of our Modern Era, the people on our planet are still hungry, homeless, sick, and hopeless. Social justice is nonexistent, everywhere. Even more, the worst is, our
social-logic is at a all times low. However, the "global efforts" today are in "helping the banks"! Yeah ... You see, those poor banks grind money so, if you want to keep them "working", we have to give them more and more money to grind. Some people think that "money-grinding" activity is everything we need, socially, for everything to be just fine--GEEZ!

Anyway, as mentioned, there are ONLY 74 DAYS LEFT: just continue to hang on very well out there, dear brothers and sisters.
