People love making things more complex than they have to be. Note, however, that this
topic/idea has two sides--as most things in life do. The first one is the outside observer who may notice that,
indeed, some people love making things more complex than they have to be. The second side is the subject implied,
the creators of those too complex things: rest assured that they have countless of "good" reasons for
those increased degrees of complexity.
Now, the great question is, "Who is right?" In order to answer correctly to this thorny question, we
have to answer a second one, "Is complex better than simple is?"
Anyway, at Corollary Theorems we listen to the news permanently. The news are the only TV programs which are (more
or less) real. We do not digest very well talk-shows, movies, and all sorts of "productions". Some may
ask, "Why do you dig the news so much?" You see, dear readers, in order to perform correct
social-psychology analyses, we have to understand our "Global Picture".
Note, however, that "Global Picture" is not the tons of news data presented each day on TV. At Corollary
Theorems we barely manage to distil few "Global Pictures" aspects/topics per week. For example:
Blessing Nuclear Preemptive Strikes
The 42nd USA President, Mr. William Jefferson Clinton, and then the 43rd one, the Honorable George Walker Bush,
have set the most dangerous precedent in the History of our Civilization: preemptive strikes. That happened the
first time 10 years ago, during the Monica Lewinsky affair, and the second time, the Afghanistan plus the Iraq
Invasions.
What most people do not know is, both the Afghanistan and the Iraq Invasions have been carried out using
generously all sorts of radioactive weapons. Few people dared talking about that, and the subjects were quickly
wiped out from (any) news. Radioactivity is the most terrible environmental pollution, particularly because it
lasts for few thousand years and it affects all biological organisms: US!
What most USA, CANADA, and Mexico citizens do not know is, due to the numerous atomic experiments performed
underground in USA in the 50s and 60s, the N. American continent is heavily charged with radioactivity today, and
for the next 2000 years. Of course, there is also plenty of dangerous radioactivity in Russia, China ... Well, in
very many places.
Note that we do not blame the Atomic Power Stations. Nuclear energy is (partly) the solution to the
"combustible" industry we have today. The bio-fuels are not the right answer to the CO2
pollution problem, because they do burn our little, precious oxygen, and they do generate plenty of CO2.
Anyway, preemptive strikes have been implemented contrary to all peace-treaties signed after the Second World War.
So much for decades of diplomatic work! In addition, preemptive strikes may easily generate, by accident, the
Third Atomic World War--it will last for only few hours, then it will take minimum 2000 years to heal.
The fruits of the brilliant USA preemptive strikes policy are ripe today. Those ingenious strikes have created a
precedent, therefore they are used to justify other future,
possible, preemptive strikes. Way to go USA! Let's cut the life on the entire planet.

Our Delicious Genetically Engineered Foods
The USA and CANADA citizens are the worst nourished people in the world. Almost all food in N. America may be
branded as being "genetically engineered" directly or indirectly. For example, the corn in N. America,
all wheat, and all vegetables come from genetic hybrid seeds. Now, time has come to engineer the meat.
It is all about profits, dear readers. You see, all genetically engineered foods are registered, and Trade Marked:
the "patents" belongs to few great "Research Companies". The idea is, sooner or later, all
food on our planet will have to be patented, therefore "owned" by few (democratic) companies. This is no
joke people. Today, about 10% of all food costs in N. America are used to pay all sorts of "safe"
genetically engineered patents, and the trend is increasing.
Sure, lately we do see all sorts of "organic foods" on the N. American shelves, but that is only an
illusion. Even if your tomatoes were grown without any pesticides, rest assured that the seeds came from some
engineered hybrids. Natural tomatoes have disappeared for a long time from the N. American continent. In addition,
the soil in N. America contains plenty of extra radioactivity, same as the air.
Anyway, in order to motivate the profits generated by genetically engineered foods, those great companies push
forward "the need for scientific development". If you listen carefully to their genetic propaganda--they
name it DNA manipulation--you could easily identify the communist-era slogans: peace for all; democratic freedom;
liberty from exploitation; and a bright, glorious future for all people!
Things are this way. Mother Nature contains natural remedies for all incurable diseases we have. However, when a
potent plant is discovered somewhere in Africa, then the "researchers" come to wipe out any trace of that that plant. Those
"researchers" are employed by some "Research Companies", and they are paid generously--more
than you can dream about it. The idea is, natural remedies do not bring profits; therefore, they must destroy any
plant that may cure naturally. Next, the drugs industry comes with some lousy pills good only to hook you for the rest of
your natural days.
The food we eat is essential to our life; it is our only source of health, balance, and (perfect) mental
development. Our children are going to be born healthy only if we stay away from industrial foods. However, in N.
America industrial foods are present anywhere, regardless of how much people pay for their meals. The result is,
the rate of children born with some genetic anomalies is increasing alarmingly.
To end this, profits and bonuses are excellent for our wonderful democracy in N. America. As for the kids, oh ...
ah ... we all know they are going to be perfectly fine, in the long run.

Talking About News
As mentioned, we do watch and read the news in the entire world, permanently, although that is far from being a
pleasing tasks. To exemplify this, we have selected the very first article published today on the first page of
The New York Times--no need to search any further.
McCain
Victory in South Carolina Caps Comeback
By MICHAEL COOPER and MEGAN THEE
Published: January 20, 2008
You see, in addition to a particular style, type "Harry Potter witchcraft", the New York Times handles relative
clauses contrary to grammatical rules. In addition, there is a strong affinity lately for phrasal verbs
to the detriment of plain, simple verbs (in N. America and even in UK--see BBC articles). Note that there are many
instance when phrasal verbs have multiple meanings: that helps deepening the confusion generated by so many
comparisons, metaphors, and pleonasms.
We cannot publish relevant fragments from that article, in order to explain grammatical rules we mentioned,
because there is this Copyright Law in effect--and rest assured that The New York Time will protect their
"intellectual property". What we can do is, we suggest little brush up/refreshment with Logically Structured English Grammar to all readers, in the entire world.
All the best to you, dear friends.
