| WEEK 39, 2008 |
||||||||||||
Sunday September 21, 2008 Regardless of the existing dire political situation, regardless of the troubled financial situation worldwide, regardless of any environmental pollution, and regardless of our disastrous social life, people care only for their own entertainment--ANY FORM of entertainment. The truth is, most people work really hard and, naturally, they do need little relaxation. The way things are today, people feel tormented just by going/driving to work and back; in addition, wasting 8 long hours per day in ANY company is sheer torture! Anyway, the only thing that holds us going on the same, day after day, is hope. We all hope tomorrow is going to be a better day, although most of us prefer to express doubt. At Corollary Theorems, our honest opinion is, "Yes, it will be "better" tomorrow, though few may understand the way this "better tomorrow" works for us socially." BAILING OUT BAD DEBTS Our Dear War President, the very George Walker Bush, decided this past week to pay 800 billion USD from public purse to "bail out" bad financial management. We are certain that few people understand how much it is this enormous amount of money; 800 billions means: 800 000 x 1 000 000 (eight hundred thousand times one million dollars)! Now, we all know that Mr. Bush has no idea what "humanly" means, therefore his motivations must have been of a different nature. We suspect Mr. Bush rushed to waste eight hundred thousand millions of people's money to protect the Bush Family assets/investments. After all, that is the only thing he fought for the past eight years. Sure, it may be we are wrong, and we sincerely hope so. Fact is, when you slash eight hundred thousand millions to pay "bad debts", the people responsible for those bad debts should be brought to face the USA (severe) justice--makes sense, right? Otherwise decent, honest citizens could say, "This entire bail out thing smells like a mighty good family deal." |
