Sunday June 8, 2008 During the electoral campaign, the "candidates" TALK. That's it: they talk, and talk, and talk. Later, when they get into the Presidential throne they do whatever it pleases them most. It never happened that one President kept his electoral promises--NEVER! The people, on the other hand, it seems they do not have enough of empty words. Man, they listen and trust in those bombastic, worthless, propagandistic electoral promises! What can you do. Our world is facing a terrible oil crisis for about 35 years. We do have technologies to replace the oil junk--with hydrogen--yet our democratic governments do exactly nothing. They did nothing, they do nothing, and they will continue doing nothing. This is "democracy"! Nobody gives a damn about the others. The (only) rule is, "Another day, another dollar." Suppose the GREAT CREATOR is going to bless us with some catastrophic natural disaster. There will be little food, no water, and not enough oil. What do you think the "democratic market" is going to do to help? No doubt about it, they are going to raise the prices as much as they can, therefore our life is going to be even more miserable. The "free market", as it is now, it is a totally undemocratic social organism; it is the means of fierce exploitation in the hands of the very, very, very wealthy. Of course, democratically, we do have the "freedom" to lie down and die, and end the agony once and for ever. Sure only, before we die ... THE SOCIAL POKER GAME The poker game may describe perfectly well our existing social-economic situation. Besides, "the people" might "get the picture" way faster since we talk about games--mind this, "the poker game"! Anyway, the first "hand" has been played and lost by the Real Estate industry. They kept on rising the The next "hand" is played on oil, today. The bids are higher and higher. Nobody thinks that at some time in the near future somebody will have to pay those bids, and they will not have sufficient money. For example, the price of oil went up explosively, because the Corporate America has pushed the USA dollar to the all times low. That was done intentionally, as always, in order to lower the costs of the Iraq and Afghanistan adventures. Today the barrel of oil is traded at 140 USD; however the USD itself is only half of what it used to be. Therefore the actual price for a barrel of oil is in fact about 70 (old) USD. Fine! Many "players" today sign contracts to buy oil at 140 USD and it can go up to even 240, 2400, 24000 USD per oil barrel. You see, those are just meaningless numbers, without any reality connection. Besides, the "players" who bid for those oil contracts care only about one thing: "to win the hand" today. Tomorrow--after the USA presidential elections--it is possible the US buck will regain some of the lost vigor, therefore the price of oil will return to normal levels, around 60 USD. Now comes the interesting part. All those "winners" of oil contracts at 140 USD will have to pay the bidding price, and of course they will have no money to do that. Another "hand" lost! Many ask, "How did we get here?" or "Is this going to end?" Well, we did it to ourselves, and it is going to be worse in the future. These are the fruits of the failed Education in the entire World. In order to step over this horrible social crisis, we need to start educating properly our children today; the results are going to be noticed in our society after 30 or 40 years. The problem is, shall we start with this stupid Education thing, or shall we play few more "hands" ... Aye? *
