Sunday April 27, 2008 PULLING THE PLUG ON FOOD Up to 1990, there was competition in our World: communism versus capitalism. Note that both political systems claimed they were "true democracies"! Anyway, the interesting aspect was, up to 1990, our life in capitalist democracy was fairly good. However, once the communist threat has been eliminated, the capitalists revealed their true, hideous face: no more pensions, endless cuts on social programs, continuously increasing prices, permanent inflation, and so on. In the same time, the CEOs and THE MANAGERS became greedier and bolder in paying hundreds of millions to themselves FOR NOTHING as never before in our History! There is no more fear of communist competition, and also no shame, no moral, no justice, no government control, nothing. Everybody knows that, in case they are caught stealing, the CEOs will have to "do little time"; however, the millions they stashed wisely away are worth it! It is particularly important to note the average opinion of simple workers today, in N. America, related to the numerous corruption examples of rapacious CEOs. Their favorite reply is, "Wouldn't you do the same?" We are certain some of you already got the message. The problem is in the intentionally degrading education, allover the World. On the other hand, better, serious education is also the solution to all our problems, except it takes minimum 20 years of sustained intelligent efforts before noticing any promising social results. 1989 brought us a cataclysmic, artificial, social change: the fall of communism. However, the communist half of the World started degrading, roughly, since 1974. What happened after 1974 is, the communist activists started "eating one another like dogs"--this is a common communist expression. After 1990, the hordes of very well trained ex-communist activists have all migrated inconspicuously towards the democrat capitalist half of the world--millions of them! Due to the existing level of social mentality in the democratic capitalist side, each of the ex-communist party activists has been labeled as "very good citizen" in USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, UK, FRANCE, GERMANY, etc, and each managed a very good living in just few years. The truth is, each of them is, indeed, a very nice person, only ... they have a particular psychological common characteristic: GREED! No, we do not try to suggest the ex-communist activists are the roots of the evil today, because social greed was already there in the democratic capitalist side. The ex-communist party activists have only added to it, and they have "refined" social greed. One communist doctrine was, if you want to control the people, you have to act where it hurts most: pull the plug on food. After that, the people will have to work harder and harder if they want to eat, and live. As it is today, our planet is perfectly capable of feeding very well ten times more people than what we have today--even more than ten times. [We will motivate our affirmations, and we will explain how in future articles.] Unfortunately, THE MANAGERS of our days have different plans; they want PROFITS! That is BIG, FAT PROFITS, and also POWER--political, economical, social, or whatever form of POWER. Therefore, it is natural the latest set of news--read this as "capitalist propaganda"--allover the World is: we are faced with food shortages, and with higher food prices. There is no such thing as food shortage. On the contrary, in the democratic capitalist side there is a terrible waste of food: we estimate that about 60 percent of the industrially produced food is wasted. Note that most of the wasted food ends up eaten by the consumers, in the form of extra fats, sugars, proteins, cereals, due to the existing very, very low level of (moral) food culture. Most people in rich, developed countries eat similar to the legendary monsters, three to four times more than sufficient, then they take all sort of pills, or they go to the gym to "keep them in shape"--whatever that shape is. Obesity is a pandemic among 2/3 of the World population. Note that those 2/3 eat three to four times more than any normal person. Anyway, since this topic is going to make the headlines for a while more in the entire press, we are also going to develop it accordingly. Remarkably this past week is Mr. Bush's newly developed taste for humanity! The man is telling jokes! Better said, our dear War President feels "like joking" after he started two useless wars, after hundreds of thousands deaths, and after ruining the economy in the entire World! Any decent person in the World is waiting only for the Bush gang to go away forever, and never come back again. Unfortunately, there are very many creatures like Bush, Powell, Rumsfeld, Rice, and they are unbelievably eager to continue ruling our world tomorrow. Some of you may ask, "Will that ever end for good?" Well, it could be, dear people. There is a very good chance they will end up eating each other like dogs. ***
