Sunday April 20, 2008 (again a bit anticipated) INTERNATIONAL MOTIVATIONS About six years ago, when the good old dictator Saddam was still in power, the price of oil was holding steadily somewhere around 18..20 USD. Today the price of oil has reached 117 USD! The question is, "Why?" Official motivations for the unexplainable, UFO-like, continuous increase in oil price are complex, as follows. First is "international political instability", though it doesn't hold water. Of course, the only international political instability factor is none other but our very President: Mr. George (the) Walker (around the) Bush. However, USA controls today the production and distribution of oil in Iraq, and that should be more than sufficient reason to push the oil price back to 20 USD. It doesn't happen, therefore the great question is, again, why? Somebody is pushing the oil price to higher and higher levels, day after day, intentionally. First, let's name that "somebody": the Saudi Arabia royal family, and the oil corporations (EXON, SHELL, BP, many others). Secondly, after Mr. Bush started the Iraqi Oil War, the great oil profiteers have discovered few interesting social-psychology "things". For example, using some sort of threats as motivation, the people are stupid enough to accept and pay any price for oil--they do that! In addition, it came out that higher prices bring way, way higher PROFITS! Since Mr. Bush has fabricated the "Saddam's weapons of mass destruction" threat, the chain of threats never ceased being issued. To add insult to injury, the last threat is coming from "the people" themselves: global warming! Of course, from now on, we are going to hear even sillier baloney-threats--it is just a matter of rich imagination--and the price of oil will continue to drive higher and higher profits out of thin air (for "the chosen ones" only). Take this BBC NEWS TV program: brother, they talk and talk each day ABOUT NOTHING as if it is going to end tomorrow! This is simply unbelievable! Note, however, that BBC NEWS is still the best news program in the world; other news agencies are a lot worse. What the BBC NEWS people do is this. OK, we have the high oil price problem; therefore, they bring few hundred people--from ordinary citizens to some Saudi royalty, or a secondary Oil Baron (CEO). Next, those people start talking chaotically, for hours, to no result, and to no logic conclusion. Things happen as if BBC NEWS is "playing the hand" of the great oil profiteers: to spread confusion and doubt in the entire world! Anyway, this is our life, and our (TV) reality, dear people. This week Mr. Bush was absolved of all sins by the Pope himself. The only problem is, who is going to absolve the Pope? Not the CREATOR, for certain, and not his son, Jesus Christ. Note that poor Jesus Christ had no "property values", except for his life and the shirt on his back. However, those who knew how to "sell Christ" did make good profits in shining silver coins! As for the shirt of Christ, it became a "hot commodity" soon after his church ordered execution. At Corollary Theorems we were effectively blinded by all that shining gold, by the pomp, and by Pope's ravishing luxury. Selling Jesus must be quite profitable these days! Long gone are the days of ordinary wooden canes, of bare feet walking, of humility, and of penitence. We are rich and proud now, because "in GO(L)D we trust". Makes dollars sense; right? ***
