Symptomatic to any statistical data is, they promote low, poor quality--the average
represents the lowest level of quality. Excepting few specific domains in Physics, the average state should never
be used as the main target variable, particularly in social-analysis.
The tricky aspect is, it is so nice and easy to work with statistical average: anybody can do that. Even worse,
everybody accepts the average as good, valid data. However, dear friends, the average is the certain way leading
only to social-disasters. To understand the way social average works, we suggest our Articles A37, A38,
A39, A40.
Epitaph 2007
2007 is past, and all news agencies in the world have already presented many excellent reports/social-analyses.
The overall picture is, 2008 could be a good year. Of course, at Corollary Theorems we have a bit different point
of view: it looks to us that 2007 is another year lost.
We have global-wide general pollution, global warming, looming economic recessions, terrorism and political chaos
everywhere; still, the most important aspect is the time we lose/kill. Solutions to each mentioned problem are
here, we know them, and they are even easy to implement; the only obstacle is our average, democratic, social
mentality.
Socially, our life is degrading with each passing year. Take this famous "global warming": everybody
wants measures to curb oil pollution. Those measures are going to come, in few years, though rest assured that
they mean only one thing: you will have to pay an arm and a leg for that. As for actually stopping any pollution
... Well!
In 2008 we have better PCs; nicer, smaller, and more powerful cell-phones; great IPods; wonderful HD-TVs; and many
exciting gadgets for playing/(killing time). Fact is, we have so many things to play that we barely have little
time for anything else. After all, life is going on forever--right?
Anyway, we promise we will keep you well informed about the actual side of our "playful" reality in
2008.

Semi-Democratic Presidential Election in USA
Presidential elections are officially afoot, therefore the USA voters are rubbing their hands with great
anticipation: the time for change is near! Note that the democratic presidential election in USA has few
perplexing oddities as follows:
1. the USA voting machines are very old and inefficient, particularly in few key-states;
2. counting the votes manually in USA is not an easy job; therefore, repeated accidental or even coincidental
human mistakes are frequent;
3. the USA democratic presidential election is not quite that democratic, according to BBC.
Anyway, the presidential race is on, and all Democrat candidates have expressed their intention for CHANGE--that
is exactly what the USA citizens want today. Unfortunately, things are a bit more complex: if USA will implement
measures of change starting in 2009, we could expect some sensible results around 2049. Yes, dear USA readers, it
takes about two generations (40 years) for any good social changes to take effect, though that may happen only if
you are perseverant during the entire period. Funny, isn't it?
Of course, some changes may happen overnight--for example, the great Iraq withdrawal. However, that doesn't mean
the Iraq problem is going to be solved. Both Iraq and Afghanistan face few good tens of years ahead of them before
any positive signs of peace.
The problem is, the USA model of democracy does not work. It doesn't work very well in USA--see the two George
Walker Bush "incidents"--and it doesn't work in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Pakistan, and certainly not in
Kenya. That, kind of democracy is only the breading ground for terrorists, for greedy CEOs, for injustice, for
abuses, and for many other things like that. In USA, the quality of life is degrading day after day. Fact is, USA
today is in a deep, acute social crisis, and we will exemplify this in future articles.
Nah, don't worry about it. When the right time comes, things are going to change themselves (un-democratically)
whether we want it or not.

Cold Oil Prices
This week it is freezing cold in most of USA and in Europe
(according to CNN), and the blame is on "global warming"--makes sense. Of course, "the
people" are going to fix that. For the time being, others are working feverishly on fixing the prices at the
gas pumps.
Obviously, there is an oil crisis, because the crude oil supply is (ESTIMATED) to become insufficient around 2024.
That is 16 years from this time, though that is also the reason the price of crude starting going up to 100 USD
RIGHT NOW!
The latest trend/fashion in Corporate America exploitation is HIGH PRICES. That wonderful policy allows for
bonuses of hundreds of millions USD in hefty bonuses paid to capable CEOs, and of millions USD for traders,
accountants, profiteers, and whatever. Very many chew on this succulent public bone, including our democratically
elected governments.
The only puzzling aspect is "the reasons": they are so stupid and so childishly motivated! "The
people", our society, on the other hand do buy anything, because there is absolutely no control on
exploitation in our dear, precious, democratic societies. This is life!
The truth about oil is presented in few Amazing Articles--say, in A35--and in many press articles (courtesy Spiegel
Online International). WE DO HAVE PLENTY OF OIL AND OF OTHER HYDROCARBON DERIVATES FOR 100 YEARS OF CONTINUOUS
DEVELOPMENT PEOPLE! All we have to do is to use the hydrocarbon fuels efficiently.
Since the 9/11 ill-famed incident, major carriers (and many other businesses) have introduced the "fuel
surcharge" tax, and they cashed on it ever since. Note that the first, minor, and the most obvious decision a
(normal) CEO should take/(should have taken) is/was to shift to more efficient engines: those that consume ONE
THIRD less fuel of what they do today. Those efficient engines/planes/trucks are here, but ECONOMY doesn't sound
very nice to (any) CEO's ears--they work only with VIPs (Very Inflationist Prices).
"The people"--read this as "nobody" or "everybody", same thing--pay, and they will
pay even more in the future to the great amusement of countless CEOs. It is such a wonder this amazing
"democracy"! Such incredible opportunities for speculations! Please study the USA social-economic
history since it was founded about 250 years ago: they have employed all forms of exploitation including slavery,
segregation, crime, theft, social abuse, and even few government controlled scams. Today, past criminals and
thieves are portrayed in countless movies as heroes, or as "the fathers", and they are part of our great
western culture/civilization. Way to go, North America!

There is Hope!
To end this day on a positive tone, there is a lot of hope out there, dear readers. Some still doubt our Amazing Articles and SF books; therefore, we say to
them: "Read
this."
