October 30, 2007 ABOUT OUR KIND, BELOVED WAR PRESIDENT Two thousand years ago, Roman citizens were very much interested in the "latest news", just as everybody does today. Amazingly, the most favorite news during Roman civilization were sports/games results, politics, and social slander. Philosophy, education, and even science were little appreciated by most people at that time: the idea was, "we live today, now, here". Two thousand years later, people behave exactly the same: they want to live today, now, and here. However, same as 2000 years ago, the words "today", "now", and "here" are almost meaningless, socially. "Today" will always take the second place after "tomorrow". In other words, a better tomorrow is always worth little efforts today--this is valid for everybody, excepting the imbeciles or mentally sick individuals. "Now" appears to be the most important, because we live only in present time. However, "now" also includes our past implicitly, and it sets up the grounds for "later". Note that each "now" has a particular characteristic: it becomes "past" in no time! Therefore, in order to be well prepared for the "next now", you should plan your "later" carefully, right now! "Here" is an extraordinary buzz word these days. Let's take the USA citizens, because "here" may appear as having particular resonances for them. If things will continue the way they do in USA, in about 50 years "here" for the USA citizens is going to be "anywhere except USA". The trend is already there: more and more USA citizens discover today that life outside N. America is better, way cheaper, and far more "real"! Living in N. America today is "fake" for any normal citizen. The jobs are fake, the entertainment is fake, the food is fake, people interactions are fake, and even the news are fake. People are just the pawns needed to keep the "machine/system/game" spinning. People do not live for themselves anymore: they live only to "pay the fares". Everybody knows these facts in USA, but only few have the courage to do anything about it. However, the system is collapsing; sooner or later, people will have to start looking for a better living someplace. *** Nothing explains better the degradation of life in USA than NASA failures except, possibly, Mr.
President himself. NASA was/is regarded as the symbol of US supremacy in technology and development; therefore,
any human or technological errors at NASA
reveal that in US society "things" are disastrous in terms of quality. ***
